Yesterday morning, March 10, 2013, my brother passed away quietly from this life into a new frontier. You may know him as Victor Travison, who faithfully blogged every Wednesday until his last days.
My brother loved to write, and especially loved to merge science fiction with his faith in God. He enjoyed your comments and the comradery he had with other writers.
We are planning a memorial service in about a week, and would appreciate any comments or insights that you would like to share.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. I knew him for about 5 years on christianwriters.com. We both shared the same passion for science fiction and the Bible, and critiqued each other's work a few times.
He was always very encouraging and supportive. I would call him "Big Bro" and he would call me "Little Sis". I've read every single one of his posts here and enjoyed them.
I never got to meet him in person, but I look forward to meeting him in Heaven.

I was shocked and saddened by your news, Linda. I'm a member of the Christian Writers forum and looked forward each month to how Dave would remind us of a beloved sci fi episode and bring it right back to Jesus in a profound, theological way.
He will be missed. My sympathies to your family and my gratitude to our Heavenly Father for his earthly life and for his eternal life in heaven.
I'll look forward to hanging out with "Victor" as he entertains us with his stories at the Heavenly Diner.

I am so sorry for your loss, Linda. I am just now learning about Dave's death. We at ChristianWriters.com appreciated him greatly. I've known him since he joined. He was a warm and sweet man. He will be missed. Praying for you and your family.

I always looked forward to Dave's blog posts and shared his love of Star Trek. The way he tied Star Trek episodes with the Gospel message was always inspiring. Dave will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. He was a valued member of our community at ChristianWriters.com, and will be sorely missed. As Karyn said, although we never met Victor/Dave in person on Earth, we look forward to meeting him one day in Heaven.

Just heard the news, Linda. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Your brother was a marvelous man, brother in Christ, and a good writer. I could never stand to read science fiction, until I read his posts. He had an uncanny ability to craft stories that would tie in with his faith. He never ceased to amaze me with his writing. He will be missed.
May God comfort you during this difficult time. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I too am shocked to learn of Victor's passing- He was such a treasure and I loved how he used sci fi to bring home the gospel message. So now when I look to the stars I will remember him and know one day we'll be able to share stories in our Father's house.
